Subject : Major change for Theory Testing (NIC) National Cosmetology,
                  Esthestician, Nail Tech, Instructor

The Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology has administered the (NIC) national
theory test in paper/pencil form since the inception of the (NIC) theory test.
As of April 2016, the (NIC) national theory tests for Cosmetology, Esthetics,
Nail Tech, and Instructor will no longer be available in paper format.  All
theory testing is being coverted to computer testing.

With this change to computer testing, there will be changes in scheduling the
test for the student and the cost of the test.  Please click link below for
the packet of information to read to help you prepare for the coming change.

Please note that national theory testing will be held at the LSBC office as
usual, however the day of the week will be changed to Wednesday of each week.
There will be several testing sessions each Wednesday.  Practical testing
will remain on Monday and Tuesday.

We hope to be able to move to this new format quickly and successfully with your
                  help.
